Brother MFC-8420 is a monochrome (black and white) flatbed multi-function laser printer. It is a high performance printer for ideal for a business environment or small workgroup. It functions as a laser printer, scanner, copier, fax and PC fax. The Brother MFC-8420 has a 50 sheet automatic document feeder and 250 sheet output capacity. The Brother MFC-8420 print speed is 17 pages per minute with the first page out in 10 seceonds and the copier speed is 17 copies per minute. The Brother MFC-8420 supported media types are plain paper, bond paper, recycled paper and transparencies. The media sizes are letter, legal, executive, A4, A5 and B5. The Brother MFC-8420 uses two toner cartridges and one drum unit, the toner cartridges consist of a standard yield and a high yield toner. The standard yield can print up to 3,300 pages at 5% coverage, while the high yield can print up to 6,500 pages at 5% coverage. The toner cartridge model numbers are TN530 (TN-530) which is the standard yield and TN560 (TN-560) which is the high yield toner. The drum unit model number is DR500 (DR-500), which has a duty cycle of 20,000 pages at 5% coverage.
